Our wish for this home was to showcase beautifully crafted timberwork and clean, contemporary lines. The moment you enter, the full-height fluted oak panelling sets the tone—warm, tactile, and architectural. We integrated all doorways into the panelling to keep the look seamless, while modern wall lights wash the timber with a soft, inviting glow. A reeded-glass sliding door adds a refined transition between spaces, offering privacy without interrupting the flow of natural light.
In the kitchen, this same design language continues. We used full-height oak cabinetry to ground the space, creating generous storage while maintaining a calm, streamlined aesthetic. The island, wrapped in a dramatic waterfall marble-effect surface, serves as a central gathering point and balances the warmth of the timber with the cool elegance of stone.
A sleek linear pendant floats above, drawing the eye to the heart of the room.
Polished concrete flooring completes the space with a contemporary, durable finish that reflects natural light from the surrounding glazing. The result is a bright, cohesive environment where every detail—from the fluted timber to the custom cabinetry—has been crafted with purpose. Together, the kitchen and timber detailing create a modern, welcoming home defined by craftsmanship, simplicity, and natural warmth.
